Grandma's Cake

Happy 88th Birthday Grandma Eula! On this day in August of 1922 my super sweet grandma came into the world. :-) We celebrated yesterday with a surprise party! I furnished the cake.

Ten points if you can spot all the cupcakes!

Brothers

I'm tired and moody.

I'm tired and moody.

Oops. Better check to be sure we're still tired and moody.

Still tired and moody.

I'm tired and moody.

Wait a minute....we're happy now.

Yep, I'm happy too. With a dimple on top.

Little Home Sign

Because I love you all so much....I'll give you a sneaky peaky of my latest sign work. I was contacted by the super sweet gals at the Little Home Learning Center, in a nearby community, to paint a sign for their building. They've been open for several years...but no sign. Every building deserves an identity! SOOO.....they have it now!

Can't wait to see it up on the building. I'll update when that happens. :-)

Yard Sale/Farmer's Market...That's How I Roll

Today was the big day. The first day of my first yard sale. Guess what! I've made enough to pay for TWO kitchen pendant lights!!! (Plus a little extra!) I may fund this kitchen remodel on my own after all!!! And the daycare/learning center picked up their sign tonight.....bonus! I'll give you a sneaky peaky of that tomorrow.
But, I had to share my mini farmer's market stand!! This morning, bright and early I galloped out to the garden and picked.....to do a little experiment. I wondered if ANYONE would buy a fresh vegetable at a yard sale. SOOOO......the top pic is how my "mini stand" looked to begin with (minus a zucchini....an early bird got that one before I could take the photo!).
And this is the after!!!! Miss Effie will be so proud of me. ;-) And let's get something clear...it's not like I'm stalking her or anything...I mean, I only mention her in EVERY blog post I do now....I think she's just about the neatest thing since homemade cheese.

Now off to bed to rest for DAY TWO of the yard sale extravaganza. Come on by the house and buy some good stuff....you'll be funding a great cause. ;-)

Ruffle Bag

Last weekend I had a FABULOUS birthday party to attend....for THE miss eff....and I certainly couldn't show up looking like a hobo....so......I needed a new bag. I was feeling ruffly....we all have those days, right?

And flowery. Okay, so maybe I looked like a ruffly, flowery hobo.
I'll post a quick tute on how to make these super cute flowers soon!
(Don't hold me to that though.....cucumbers are taking over my life. I think I hear one sneaking in the back door right now.)

I'm always jealous of the fab photos all the blogger girls have of them holding a cute bag, etc. There are no grownups in my house during the light of day to take photos (besides me and sometimes I don't feel much like a grown up either).

I have two little boys. Who tried their best. ;-)

Daddy is not a huge fan of messes....I, on the other hand.....well we all know how I feel about messes. He he he.
